Quilting Class Timetable

Welcome to Quilt –essentials class list for January to June 2008.

We have an exciting new year ahead as we now have our own long arm quilter to finish off your precious projects. As usual we are running our beginner’s class and also a variety of exciting projects to tempt you. Don’t forget our stock of knitting essentials and look out for our Friday night knitting sessions beginning in April, just in time for the cooler weather.

This year we are running a mystery quilt challenge, {even I don’t know what the completed project will look like} all you need to do is to register and choose a colour range and then collect your parcel each month. It should be fun to see the beautiful quilts which will eventuate

Cost is just $22 each month for the pattern and the fabric.

Beginners Sampler Quilt

Tutor: Jenny Wheeler

If you have never sewn before but always wanted to patchwork then this is the course for you.

A mix of hand and machine piecing, this class will show you lots of techniques. A deposit of $70 paid in advance at enrolment is required. The deposit is non refundable unless the class is cancelled.

20th Feb, 5th & 19th March, 2nd, 16th & 30th April, 14th & 28th May, 11th & 25th June

Time: 6.00 –8.00pm

Cost: $20.00 per lesson. List of requirements provided on enrolment.

For the Love of Rouched Roses

Tutor: Jan Lukins

A fabulous new quilt created especially for Quilt Essentials featuring needleturn & dimensional appliqué. The quilt is in the shop so come and have a look. You can choose either Saturday or Tuesday morning classes.

Saturday Mornings
16th Feb, 1st, 15th & 29th March, 12th & 26th April

Tuesday Mornings
26th Feb, 11th & 25th March, 8th & 22nd April, 6th May

Time: 10am – 1.00 pm

Cost: $35.00 per lesson. List of requirements provided on enrolment.

Bows & Things

Tutor: Chris Perrin

A very pretty quilt featuring pin tucking, suffolk puffs, ruffles & bows utilising the quick & easy
“quilt as you go” method. Cost includes lesson fee, kit incorporating quilt top fabrics in several colour ways & wadding together with backing fabric of your choice.

Date: Tuesday mornings
4th March, 1st April, 6th May, 3rd June

Time: 10.00am – 2.00pm

Cost: $90 payable before each lesson

Knitting Group

Commencing in April, we will feature evening sessions for both beginners & the more experienced knitters to explore the wonderful world of wool.

Class sizes are limited so book early!!! Bookings are essential for the classes to begin.
